I just realized that it has been almost three months since I posted anything here. Finals took most of my time and then I traveled for a couple of weeks. But now I realize that procrastination has taken most of my time and I needed to kick myself in the booty.
A lot has happened in these past few months I pretty much covered the entire california by car(realized that there isn’t that much to the state but vast land pretty much), I also realized that if you are planning on a future with somebody, spending three weeks 24/7 with that person is not a good idea. I got stung by a bee(not as dramatic as I made it out to be but my arm was swollen for about a week and was itching so much I was contemplating on choppng it off). I’ve been evaluating my life a lot and have come to some decisions I hope will prove to be good in the end. I guess that’s what happens when you have a lot of free time, you think too much!
Anyways, on a lighter note. I will post some of my travel pics in a later post because this one I wanted to reserve to some House Finch nestlings that we have had in the past few months. One brood already left and now we have two nests with five little guys in each. House finches are one of the most common birds here but I really like them. One of the main reasons is that they split up the duty when it comes to their babies. Both males and females feed the young and I have on numerous occasions seen the male come and feed the female as she lies on the eggs. Now if only everyone in the human world could adapt to these practices I think the world would be a much better place. I took pictures every day of one nest as the other one is in a hard to reach place. So here is a little picture diary of each day up until now ( I did skip a few days tho as there were a lot of days of five eggs just lying there so not that interesting!
More pics to come once the little ones become more mobile as right now they are just lying on top of each other pretty much!
